1 | tsp | Baking soda |
1 | Lemon grated to thereof | |
1 | tsp | Vanilla sugar |
125 | g | Melted butter |
2 | Large eggs | |
2 | dl | Sugar |
2.5 | dl | Wheat flour |
4 | tbsp | Plain yogurt |
Instructions for Madeleine cakes
To prepare the Madeleine cakes recipe, please follow these instructions:
Turn on the oven and adjust it to 200 degrees.
Grease the madeleine and dry with sugar. Whip egg and sugar together until it becomes light and foamy, approx. 5 min. Sprinkle vanilla sugar and yogurt in. Beat quickly flour baking soda, lemon peel and melted butter. The dough must be liquid. Pour the dough into the holes of the madeleine, not to the edge as they raise a little. Bake the cakes for 15 minutes. Turn the cakes on a grate and behind the rest of the dough. Sprinkle the cooled madeleines with flourishes.

A real madeleine cake must be shaped like a mussel.
