Ingredients for Fig sauce

0.25cupFreshly squeezed orange juice hot
0.5cupChopped fresh figs (some are the more reddish than others)
1Star anise
2Whole Black peppers corn
2tbspSugar

Instructions for Fig sauce

To prepare the Fig sauce recipe, please follow these instructions:

Cook sugar in a thick-bottomed saucepan on medium heat for 3 minutes or until sugar is nicely Brown. Add the orange juice and bring to the boil again, Add the figs and the last two ingredients. Cook it all over again in three minutes. Take it off the stove and si it through a fine strainer, pressure well on the figs to get as much sugar/juice as possible. Would it be too thick, you can always add a little hot water.
