Instructions for Basilkumbrød

To prepare the Basilkumbrød recipe, please follow these instructions:

Melt the butter, add the milk and stir the yeast out when the milk is small-fingered. Add fried cheese, whole wheat flour, salt and basil and stir it together. Peel the wheat flour in a couple of times and knead the dough well on the table. Let the dough raise to double size a warm place, it takes about 1 hour. Lightly dough the dough and form it into a loaf of bread. Put it in a greased form and allow it to adhere for 20 minutes. Brush the bread with egg whites and baked it for approx. ½ hour at 200º on the lower oven pan.
