Instructions for Basque chicken

To prepare the Basque chicken recipe, please follow these instructions:

Divide the chicken into quarters or eighths and rub the pieces with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a saucepan and put the chicken pieces in. Brown them on both sides, dampen the heat, put on the lid and the chicken is tender tender for approx. 45 minutes.


Pour the shallots and turn them into a pan in the oil. Cut the peppers into thin strips.

Add peppers, tomatoes and garlic to the pan, season with salt and pepper and simmer 5-6 minutes.

Put the vegetables on a dish and put the chicken pieces upstairs. Sprinkle some parsley over and serve loose rice.
