To prepare the Canal from Alsace recipe, please follow these instructions:

Chop flour and grease together. Add sugar, egg yolks and water and work the dough quickly together. You can also make it in the kitchen machine. Patch the dough into a plastic foil and leave it in the fridge for about 1 hour. Roll the dough onto a floured table. Dress a pie shaped loose bottom, about 24 cm in diameter, with the dough.
