0.5tspThe whole cumin seeds
0.5tspGround turmeric
1tspSalt
2tbspGhee
2Bay leaves
200gSplit peas
2-3Green chillies (split lengthwise)
275gPotatoes in 2 ½ cm. large pieces
350gCauliflower
7dlWater
75gPeas

Instructions for Dal tarkari (Split Peas with vegetables)

To prepare the Dal tarkari (Split Peas with vegetables) recipe, please follow these instructions:

Set the peas to soak in plenty of water in 2-3 hours, drain and blame the peas well. Bring the split peas and water to a boil in a large pot. Put the lid on and let them simmer for 30 minutes. Take the Pan from the heat.

Heat the ghee in a large pot for smooth to excessive heat. Add the cumin seeds, Bay leaves and green chillies and fry them for a few seconds.

Add the potatoes. Peas, cauliflower and sauté them in the 1-2 minutes.

Add the cooked, split peas with hot-band as well as turmeric and salt. Stir it together, put the lid on and cook until the vegetables are tender. The Court will be too thick, add more water.

Tips:
Chili must always be treated with caution avoid touching you in the eyes, mouth and nose when you have touched by Chili, even after thorough washing, it can scorch, so you can usefully use gloves when working with chili. The strongest flavor in the seeds, and these pages can be removed prior to use.
