Instructions for Homemade tortillas

To prepare the Homemade tortillas recipe, please follow these instructions:

Mix flour, salt and baking soda in a bowl. Add oil and water and work together for a smooth dough.

Divide the dough into 6 pieces and form each part into a bowl. Roll each bowl into a thin plate, approx. 20 cm. In diameter.

Heat a frying pan. Bake each tortilla on a dry pan until they have a color, approx. 2 minutes on each side.

During the baking, air bubbles are formed in the tortilla. Push these bubbles down with a clean cloth.

Put the baked tortillas on top of each other and put them in a dish to keep them warm and soft.

tips:
Tortillas can stay in the fridge for 4-5 days if they are in a plastic bag. Heat them quickly in a well-frying pan before serving. Tortillas can be used for Mexican national dishes such as tacos and enchiladas.
