Ingredients for Italian meat sauce

Pepper
1dlFinely chopped celery
1kgMinced beef
1Garlic to taste
1dlOlive oil
1Oregano
1Salt
1/2dlButter
1/3dlWheat flour
1/3dlTomato puree
1/8dlFinely chopped parsley
2 1/2dlGrated carrot
2 1/2dlRed wine
3 1/2dlFinely chopped onion
6dlFinely chopped mushrooms
8dlMeat consommé

Instructions for Italian meat sauce

To prepare the Italian meat sauce recipe, please follow these instructions:

Mix the butter and oil in a large frying pan and heat. Add onion and saute for a minute. Add carrots, celery, mushrooms and parsley. Let it simmer for approx. 5 min with stirring.

Add the chopped meat and leave it brown. Pour the flour over the meat and stir until it is well mixed. Add tomato sauce. Add the wine gradually, stirring constantly. Add broth and spices to taste.

Let it simmer under periodic stirring about an hour or until it has a suitable thickness.

Served with pasta.
