Shredded cheddar cheese
0.5cupAll kinds of flour
1cupCream
1Onions, diced
1cupMilk
1cupGrated cheddar cheese
3canChicken broth
5Potatoes cooked peeled and diced

Instructions for Katoffel broth

To prepare the Katoffel broth recipe, please follow these instructions:

Start roasting the bacon and set it aside.
Stir the onions in the fat from the bacon on medium-low heat. When the onions are tender and golden brown add flour and stir. Gradually add chicken broth, boil constantly stirring until it is bubbling. Put the chopped potatoes in cream and milk.
If you like a slightly softer soup you can use a blender to aperture it.
Continue boiling medium-low heat for 10 minutes and stir the cheese and cream fry in. Decorate with bacon, garlic, extra cheese and cream fraiche if you wish.
