Instructions for Limpa (Swedish Spicy Bread)

To prepare the Limpa (Swedish Spicy Bread) recipe, please follow these instructions:

Dissolve salt and syrup in lukewarm water and stir the yeast together with spices. Gradually flour and knead the dough until it is smooth and release the table easily.

Form one or more rounds (like peanut bread) and put them on a greased baking sheet.
Raising: three blocks.

Put the bread in a 200 degree C. alm. Oven and bag them for an hour. Brush them with water twice during baking (make the crust crisp). Brush again when the bread comes out of the oven.

Eat a hot slice of lime with butter and enjoy the spicy flavor and crisp crust without any other disturbing sensory impressions.

tips:
Limpa is a traditional old Swedish spice bread, which is done once a week. To a family you make approx. 4 broke the same day, which may last week. It tastes great with the spiced flavor of anise and fennel and the crispy crust.
