To prepare the Pretzel (Gærkringle) recipe, please follow these instructions:

Flour. Salt, sugar and cardamom sifted together. The milk is heated to 30 degrees, the yeast is mixed in a little of this and the fat melted in the rest. All mixed, kneaded and placed in a warm place about 1 hour covered with a lid or a damp cloth.

The dough is increased to the double, kneaded and mixed with the dried raisins, the small-minded sukat and can now be made for raising additional ¼ hour (the dough is always easier to mold when it gets to rest a little after pressing).

The dough is rolled into a long sausage, there now are shaped to plums and place on a greased plate. Be made after withdrawing about 10 minutes, after which the pretzel brushed with egg mixed with a little liquid, bestrøs with coarse sugar and bake at good heat for about 15 minutes.
