300g(about 6 small) beetroot fruits
300gMixed vegetables for soup

Instructions for Red barszcz (Polish beetroot soup)

To prepare the Red barszcz (Polish beetroot soup) recipe, please follow these instructions:

Wash them thoroughly, and grate them coarsely in a Slaw iron. Wash the vegetables, chop them into small pieces, and put them in a pan. Pour the water over the vegetables, and let the soup Cook in 15 minutes time. Put the grated beets to the Pan, and let the soup boil until them is quite soft. Season with sugar, lemon acid, Bay leaves and spices. When the soup is almost done so confuses Crème Fraichen with flour. So it mixes a little hot soup into the mixture, and then stir it into the rest of the soup. Cook an additional 5 minutes, and the soup is now ready for serving.

If applicable: one can possibly add 4 potatoes cut into cubes.
