To prepare the Sham Moose (ox grydesteg) recipe, please follow these instructions:

Brown the meat well of in a knob of butter in a thick-bottomed saucepan. Add the soy sauce, ribena and water. Let the meat simmer until tender (about 2 hours). Take the meat up while the sauce is prepared and levelled (meljævning). Taste with pepper and salt, if needed also.

Tips:
The original recipe is with elgkød, but it tastes just as good with beef. Serve with potatoes or karoffelmos and sour (gherkins, red currant jelly and lingonberry). Velbekommen.
