1Chicken at ca. 1000 grams
1tbspSambal olek
1tspSugar
2.5dlFood oil
3cloveGarlic
3Onion
4tbspSoy sauce
5Lemon leaves (may be omitted) or replaced by lemon juice

Instructions for Spicy lemon chicken

To prepare the Spicy lemon chicken recipe, please follow these instructions:

Divide the chicken into 8 pieces and rub the pieces well with salt and pepper. The onions are peeled and cut into thin strips. Garlic cloves are peeled and chopped well.

Heat the oil in a deep fryer. Brown the chicken pieces until golden. Then pick them up and drain them.

Heat 1 tbsp. Oil in another pot and sprinkle onions and garlic cloves. Stir the rinsed lemon leaves, lemon juice, sambal ole and soy in and taste with sugar, salt and pepper. Finally, the drip chicken pieces arrive in the sauce, and everything turns for low heat for approx. 15 minutes - or until the chicken pieces are cooked. Lemon leaves are removed before serving.
