Cook time: 0 min.
Servings: 4 person(s)

Ingredients for Sushiris (Cheap)

0.5dlRice vinegar
40gSugar
500g, round grain milled
7dlWater
8gSalt

Instructions for Sushiris (Cheap)

To prepare the Sushiris (Cheap) recipe, please follow these instructions:

The rice in a saucepan is poured with cold water and the rice is crushed / hugged with the hands. The water is poured off. This process is repeated until the water no longer takes color from the rice and aims to get some of the starch away. (I usually get impatient after 4-5 rinses.)
The rice is drained and 7 dl of water are added.
Bring the boil and turn down to cook just. Cook under lid for 10 min, then move the pot from the fluff and stand for 15 min.

Rice vinegar, sugar and salt are heated in a saucepan until all the sugar is dissolved and removed. (This mix can be purchased.)

Pour the rice into a large bowl, preferably wood, and pour the sauce dough over and stir around to allow the rice to cool.

When the rice is cold, they can be used to make sushi.

tips:
A real sushi cookie would probably turn my eyes off that I use porridge - but the price will be approx. 1/10 of the price for sushi rice, and personally I can not taste the difference. The rice gets very sticky, so have a cold water bowl standing to dip your fingers when you make the sushi - the rice does not stick too much to wet fingers.
