25gFinely minced ham of best quality
4Thick slices fresh ginger root peeled

Instructions for Svalerede soup (swallow's nest soup)

To prepare the Svalerede soup (swallow's nest soup) recipe, please follow these instructions:

Opblød swallow nests for about 1.4 ltr. lukewarm water for several hours or overnight. Let them drain in a sieve. They will have increased their weight about 4 times.
