Instructions for Bygvandgrød

To prepare the Bygvandgrød recipe, please follow these instructions:

Bring the water to a boil in a thickened pot. Dry the barley in constant stirring. Stir approx. 2 minutes. Dampen the heat. Lay lay on the pot. Cook the porridge at low heat for 40-50 minutes.

Peel the apple and tear it roughly on the coarse side of the roast iron. Mix apple and sugar in the porridge 5 minutes before it is finished. Turn off the crop. Season with salt.
