Servings: 4

Ingredients for Mrs. Borrisholt's baked apples

0.5 dl Whipped cream
1 tbsp Cinnamon
100 g Marzipan
2 dl Æblekage bread crumbs
2 Egg yolks
20 Sweet apples (cox orange or ingrid marie)
50 g Butter

Instructions for Mrs. Borrisholt's baked apples

To prepare the Mrs. Borrisholt's baked apples recipe, please follow these instructions:

Peel the apples and clean them with a "core housing remover" (see picture). Alternatively, the apples can be cut into half and the core houses can be removed with a teaspoon, but it is not as easy. Put a teaspoon of marzipan in each apple. Whip two egg yolks with whipped cream and pour it into a deep dish. Mix the apple pie and the cinnamon in another deep dish. First, turn the apples into the egg / cream mixture and then into the rasp. Put the apples in a frying pan. They must not be so close that the rasp falls off. Put a small stick of butter on each apple.

Bake in the oven at 200 degrees C. alm. Oven for 20 minutes until the apples are tender and do not resist if you stick with them with a pinch. Take them out and allow them to cool to room temperature. Server with Mathilde vanilla cream or equivalent. Calculate plenty of cream, because there will be a good drain on it. Vanilla ice cream is also good. Or both: o)

tips:
The apples can be frozen, but beware they are not pressed flat in the freezer. Dissolve to room temperature before serving.
